1. Bring the current Amazon requirement into the print brief
Marketplace requirements can change and may depend on the product or workflow. Instead of relying on an old blog specification, provide the current requirement that applies to your account/job.
Useful source material can include:
- the approved label artwork or file;
- the required text/code content;
- required dimensions if specified;
- any placement instruction that affects the physical label;
- any format or packaging instruction that affects printing;
- the responsible Amazon reference or screenshot where clarification is needed.
DSP can then quote against the supplied print requirement rather than inventing a universal FBA specification.
2. Define the physical label order
Alongside the external requirement, provide the production inputs that affect the print job:
- quantity;
- label dimensions;
- product/package/application surface;
- artwork status;
- fixed vs changing data;
- supply format if known;
- target date;
- UAE delivery location.
If some information is unknown, mark it not sure and provide the real packaging/application context.
3. Separate marketplace rules from printing
Amazon or another marketplace may define what information must appear, how identifiers are assigned, or how a seller should prepare inventory.
The printer's role is different: produce the agreed physical label against the approved requirement.
This page does not claim DSP provides:
- Seller Central account management;
- marketplace compliance consulting;
- FBA shipment setup;
- inventory-system integration;
- barcode ownership/assignment;
- scanner configuration;
- guaranteed marketplace acceptance.
4. If barcodes or changing data are involved
State whether every label is identical or whether the order contains variable identifiers/data.
Provide the approved data source and any system-imposed print requirement that matters to the physical output.
Printing a barcode does not automatically include code generation, validation, database integration or a scan guarantee.

5. Material and handling conditions should follow the real application
If labels will face specific handling, storage, moisture, temperature or packaging conditions, describe them in the brief.
Do not select a material from a generic “FBA label” article and assume it will fit every product. Any material/adhesive/performance requirement should be checked against the actual supplied product and application.
6. What to send for a useful enquiry
Send:
- the current Amazon/FBA label requirement or approved artwork;
- quantity;
- dimensions;
- product/package and application surface;
- fixed/variable data details;
- supply format if known;
- relevant handling/storage conditions;
- target date;
- UAE delivery location.
That gives DSP enough context to assess the physical print requirement without pretending to own the marketplace rules behind it.
