1. Start with the issuer-approved purpose
State what the physical sticker is intended to identify within your own approved process.
For example, it may identify:
- a vehicle assigned to a site or group;
- a permit type/category;
- an expiry or validity reference supplied by the issuer;
- a parking zone/reference;
- another issuer-defined status.
Dubai Sticker Printing does not determine eligibility or parking rights through this page. The issuer/site provides the approved meaning and content.
2. List the exact information to be printed
Separate fixed information from variable information.
Fixed content may include:
- issuer/site name or logo;
- standard wording;
- contact/instruction text supplied by the issuer;
- fixed design elements.
Variable content may include:
- permit number;
- vehicle/reference number;
- zone/category;
- date/validity field;
- QR code or barcode supplied for printing;
- another changing identifier.
If variable data is involved, identify who owns, supplies and approves the source data before production.
3. Decide where the sticker will be applied
Tell the printer the intended application location and surface.
Useful details include:
- inside or outside application where already specified by the issuer;
- glass or another known surface;
- approximate application area;
- whether visibility from a particular side matters;
- whether removal/replacement is part of the permit workflow.
Do not assume one generic adhesive or construction will suit every vehicle/surface/application. If a specific placement or performance requirement exists, bring it into the brief for verification.
4. Define size, shape and quantity
Provide:
- finished size or available application area;
- shape if important;
- total quantity;
- number of unique variable-data records, if applicable;
- whether the order is one batch or includes later reissues/replacements.
DSP does not publish a universal parking-permit size, MOQ or price on this page.
5. Decide how replacements and reissues work
Parking permits can require reissue when vehicles, dates, occupants or access arrangements change.
If that applies, define:
- whether the old permit is removed/invalidated by your process;
- whether a new identifier is generated;
- who supplies the replacement data;
- whether the print design remains fixed;
- whether reissues are ordered individually or in later batches.
The site's administrative record remains separate from the physical sticker order.
6. Access-control systems are a separate scope
A sticker may carry a visual identifier or a supplied QR/barcode, but that does not automatically include:
- gate/barrier systems;
- card or tag readers;
- RFID systems;
- access-control software;
- permit databases;
- visitor-management systems;
- enforcement systems;
- scanner configuration or integrations.
If your physical sticker has to work with an external system, bring the current system requirement and approved artwork/data into the print brief. Do not assume DSP provides or configures that system.
7. Bring current site/issuer requirements into the job
If a building, landlord, parking operator, government authority or other issuer requires a specific format, wording, identifier, placement or approval, use the current requirement supplied by that responsible party.
This article does not publish universal Dubai permit rules, eligibility criteria, fines, enforcement processes or legal advice.
What to send for a useful parking-permit sticker quote
Send:
- issuer/site/project context;
- approved purpose of the permit sticker;
- fixed wording/artwork;
- variable fields and data source, if any;
- quantity;
- size/shape or available area;
- intended application surface/location;
- artwork status;
- replacement/reissue requirement;
- target date;
- UAE delivery/project location;
- any current issuer/site specification that must be followed.
If some production details are undecided, identify them rather than guessing.
