1. Define what the floor graphic needs to do
Promotional floor graphics may be used to support a campaign, event, retail message, direction/wayfinding or another approved communication purpose.
Before production, clarify:
- what the graphic should communicate;
- where people will encounter it;
- whether it is one placement or multiple areas;
- how long the promotion is expected to remain in use;
- who controls site/venue approval where relevant.
This page does not define venue rules or regulatory requirements for the buyer.
2. Start with the real floor and site
Provide photos where possible and note:
- project/site location;
- floor material or surface condition if known;
- indoor/outdoor context if relevant;
- approximate dimensions or total area;
- expected traffic/use context;
- whether the floor is flat, textured or otherwise unusual;
- any known cleaning, safety or removal requirement.
A generic “floor sticker” description is not enough to establish compatibility or performance.
3. Plan placement before final artwork
For a promotional graphic, artwork should be considered with its physical placement.
Useful questions include:
- What direction will people approach from?
- What area is actually available?
- Is the graphic one piece or multiple placements?
- Does important text/logo content need to fit within a defined zone?
- Is there a fixed campaign/event/opening date?
Dubai Sticker Printing can support design/artwork preparation, revisions or redesigning where required, but final production should use the real measured/planned area rather than a generic template.
4. Installation may or may not be part of the project
DSP can manage installation where required, but not every floor-sticker order needs to be turned into an installation project.
State whether:
- installation is required;
- the buyer/site team plans to apply the graphics;
- installation is undecided and needs assessment.
For an installation-led project, site access and timing can become part of the project brief.
5. Safety and performance claims must be product-specific
This guide does not describe floor graphics as automatically:
- anti-slip or safety-rated;
- certified to a fire/slip standard;
- suitable for every high-traffic environment;
- residue-free or damage-free when removed;
- suitable for every floor material;
- weather-resistant for every outdoor use;
- durable for a fixed universal lifespan.
If one of those properties is required, provide the actual requirement so the selected material/specification can be verified before it becomes part of the quote or public promise.
6. Venue or mall rules remain external requirements
If a mall, venue, building, landlord, event organizer or authority controls placement, safety or installation conditions, use its current requirement for the real site.
DSP can work from supplied project requirements, but this page does not claim approval authority or universal compliance for floor graphics.
7. The Floor Graphics service owns the project
This article helps prepare a promotional floor-graphics brief.
