1. Identify what is being sealed or labelled
Describe the real application:
- box, carton, pouch or package;
- lid, cap, flap, door or closure;
- equipment or asset;
- document/container or another physical item;
- other known application.
Also state the application surface where known. A physical label specification should be assessed against the actual item and surface rather than copied from an unrelated security-label example.
2. Define what evidence you expect after interference
Be specific about the desired outcome.
For example, your requirement may be to make it easier to notice that:
- a closure has been opened;
- a label has been removed or disturbed;
- an item has been accessed after sealing;
- an identifying label has been replaced or altered.
That requirement still does not prove that a generic label can prevent opening, theft, substitution or counterfeiting. If a particular tamper-evident mechanism is critical, it must be confirmed for the exact product/construction before production.
3. Separate tamper evidence from authentication
Visible evidence of interference is not the same as proving that an item is genuine.
If your project also needs authentication, serial verification, database lookup, digital validation or another security process, identify that as a separate requirement and state who provides/controls it.
Dubai Sticker Printing's confirmed scope here is the physical printed-label requirement. This page does not imply an authentication platform, anti-counterfeit system or security database.

4. Decide what identification needs to appear
List the approved content that must be printed, such as:
- logo or brand identifier;
- fixed text;
- item or batch reference;
- serial/reference number;
- QR code or barcode supplied for printing;
- another approved identifier.
If data changes from label to label, state that early and identify the source of the approved data.
Printing a code or identifier does not automatically include the database, scanner, verification platform or tracking system behind it.
5. Give the physical print details
Include what you know about:
- quantity;
- approximate or final dimensions;
- shape if relevant;
- application surface/item;
- artwork status;
- fixed vs variable content;
- intended placement;
- target date;
- UAE delivery/project location.
If the exact security construction is not yet confirmed, say not sure and explain the required physical outcome instead of choosing a feature name blindly.
6. Plan replacement and reissue where relevant
Some security-seal workflows need labels to be replaced after opening, inspection, maintenance, shipment or another event.
If that applies, explain:
- when a new seal/label is issued;
- whether identifiers change;
- who supplies the replacement data;
- whether old and new references must be reconciled in another system.
DSP can use that information to understand the physical print requirement. The operational database or recordkeeping process remains separate unless explicitly confirmed in scope.
7. Bring external rules into the brief instead of relying on a printer article
If a customer, regulator, site, logistics process or internal security policy requires a specific mark, wording, construction, test, approval or record, bring that current requirement into the brief.
This page does not define legal compliance, security grades or mandatory specifications for every UAE application.
What to send for a useful security-seal label enquiry
Send:
- what is being sealed/labelled;
- application surface or closure;
- what visible evidence/outcome is required;
- quantity and size if known;
- fixed/variable content;
- artwork status;
- identifiers/codes to be printed, if applicable;
- target date;
- UAE delivery/project location;
- any externally mandated requirement that must be met.
If a feature is critical to security performance, identify it as a requirement to verify rather than assuming it is included.
